Dry Dances (Seefhoek/Antwerpen)

For ‘Beyond the Black Box ‘24’, Jaczewska placed ‘Dry Dances’ practice in a dialog with the architecture of the service flats area in Seefhoek in Antwerp. Even though located very close to the center of the city, the area is perceived and treated as the periphery of it.

Dry Dances I, II and III responded to different sites of this residential area and explored various architectural and choreographic parameters of it.

Dusica Drazic curated small exposition which parallel the performances in situ, presented Jaczewska's visual research
(including p a n e l s ) which led to the creation of Dry Dances and the performance of BRUT.

co creation and performance: Anne-Lene Nördler and Maisie Woodford.
